The Snails inhabit a world filled with detail: light catching drops of water; cloudy puffs of spores from towering mushrooms; the lace left behind as leaves decay. The Snails know that between two trees there is a halfway point, and between two points, there is another. They slow their movements and the world around them balloons in an infinite faceted mosaic.
